A Free Web-based helpline service aimed at helping members of the public to better understand how the Budget 2004 proposals will affect them is going to be made available this Saturday. A collaborative effort by Instant Office Sdn Bhd and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the service is mainly to provide related information and a simplified translation of the announcement. Accessible via www.micpa.com.my, the helpline will provide a convenient and easily accessible advice and information channel where the public is directly connected to tax experts. Queries may range from income tax law affecting individuals and businesses, investment incentives, import/export duties, sales and service tax as well as other pertinent issues. Queries can be sent immediately after the Budget 2004 announcement either through the electronic forum, e-mail, fax or short message service (SMS). Live calls will be only taken on Saturday from 10am to 1pm. All commentaries will be digitised and stored at he the Web site. |
