Launching of Dataprep Bumiputera Trust Scheme

Dataprep commits to support Bumiputera employees through a "Private Bumiputera Trust Scheme"

Kuala Lumpur, 4th January 2003, Dataprep Holdings Bhd today launched a Private Bumiputera Trust Scheme.

Dataprep Holdings Bhd (Dataprep) is a leading information technology group in Malaysia. Listed on the second board of KLSE, Dataprep focuses on six core businesses, which are business and technology consulting, system integration, software development, managed services, application services and e-business.

The idea of setting up the Trust was the brainchild of the Board of Directors lead by En Mirzan bin Mahathir, the Chairman of Dataprep Group.

The Trust is created for the purpose of providing financial assistance to the Bumiputera employees of Dataprep Group and their immediate family members for education, medical and religious purposes.

The appointed Trustees proposed for the Trust are Encik Mirzan bin Mahathir; Dato' Seri Maharaja Mohamad Rais bin Zainuddin; Encik Kamil Ahmad Merican and Encik Ahmad Fizal bin Othman. Full discretionary powers over the operations and administration of the Trust will be vested in the trustees.

The beneficiaries of this Trust are eligible Bumiputera employees who have been with the Dataprep Group for more than a year. "As a start up fund to the Trust, Dataprep will grant RM100,000" said Datuk Lim Chee Wah, Chief Executive Officer of Dataprep.

Over and above the benefits accorded to the Bumiputera employees, the company will be offering the Employee Share Option Scheme to all personnel within Dataprep Group.
